Keep it in the closet...

Right now, you maybe thinking what should you keep in your closet?
Well, ladies and gents I feel here are some key things to keep:
Let's keep those ralph lauren shawl collared sweaters with leather elbow patches, brogues, pinstripes, etc...
Yet, here's a unisex style classic the shearling coat have been a classic go to for the crucial weather for nyc via toronto. They can last a lifetime and also price range from the hundreds to in the thousands, so to stay within budget if you've got a chance rummage through vintage stores or maybe you have a relative whose uber-stylish and with some great treasures buried in their closets. Just make sure to do your research, when it comes to the quality: pull of a piece (tuft) of the wool to ensure it won't come out and is naturally attached to leather and not glued.

For your feet, when the weather doesn't permit you to wear your hard bottoms: keep it simple sweetheart...Unisex Classic boots by LL Bean and for the ladies Tory Burch "Halima" boots and Men's brogue boots are both awesome for those chilly nights that you need weather appropriate boots that still are  a force to be reckoned with.

Ladies, equestrian wear has never gone out of style when worn in neutral tones and looks great paired with that crisp tailored shirt, chunky sweater, or turtle neck.
Capes are making a classic return this season, to be worn with extreme flair and easy for those brisk days and paired with long leather gloves for a elegant day and evening look.

Cine'....

I love indie/foreign films... the real raw, gritty, and they show us collective things within our sub-conscious that we may have never even known within our realm.

Lo Sono L'amore- I Am Love
I Am Love poster teaseBeautifully written and cinematography was stellar...it has been so long since I 've seen such an intriguingly and invigorating piece. I really love this film and Tilda Swinton was stunning and she has always had an androgynous style and the immpeccable wardrobe was provided by Fendi and Jil Sander.

I'm Still Here

This could be either biopic or mockumentary, as many critics questioned to label it. However, I really didn't care and saw it as touchingly moving and a train-wreck at the same time! I'm a fan of Joaquin Phoenix and whatever his motive or the degree of reality in this film was I left feeling that we all need a private special place of meaning that we can call home and be re-born again.

The key to being best dressed in Fall/Winter is about using functional layers with a pop of color from what you see around you, yet styled to your personal taste.
